Pastor Chris Okafor Retracts Apology to Doris Ogala, Calls Her a “Jezebel”

In a shocking reversal that has reignited a long-standing scandal, Pastor Chris Okafor of the Mountain of Liberty and Miracle Ministry has officially withdrawn the public apology he previously issued to Nollywood actress Doris Ogala. During a recent Sunday service, the clergyman told his congregation that his earlier act of contrition was the result of intense external pressure rather than an admission of guilt. “There’s no apology for what I didn’t do or for someone I haven’t met face to face. I was pressured by people I called friends but who are not,” Okafor declared in a trending video, directly contradicting the actress’s claims of an eight-year secret romance and a broken promise of marriage.

The drama, which originally gained momentum after a video of the pastor engaging a young lady surfaced online, saw Ogala demand compensation while accusing the cleric of various scandalous activities. Although reports indicated that Okafor had previously given the actress $10,000, an amount she dismissed as insufficient, the pastor now claims his decision to publicly beg for forgiveness was purely a strategic move to protect the reputation of senior church leaders.

“Firstly, the reason why I apologised was that the fathers of faith were being dragged. And I did not want them to be dragged. Pastor Bishop Abioye, and Matthew,” he explained, clarifying that his gesture of kneeling during a previous service was a sign of respect for those elders and “not because of any Jezebel anywhere.”

As reports continue to reveal the fallout, Okafor has shifted toward a more aggressive stance, vowing to resolve the dispute through legal means rather than further public apologies. This latest development comes at a particularly turbulent time for the General Overseer, as his own daughter, Amara, has also made headlines with allegations of assault and plans to press charges against him.

The pastor’s firm U-turn suggests that the bridge between him and his accuser has been completely burned, leaving the resolution of their “years-long” dispute to the courts as the actress continues to “drag” him across social media platforms.
