Carter Efe Reveals How His Father Was Killed by Armed Robbers

Nigerian skitmaker and popular streamer Carter Efe recounts the gruesome murder of his father, a police officer, by armed robbers in Ogun State. During a recent appearance on “The Honest Bunch Podcast” on Monday, March 2, 2026, the content creator detailed how his father had actually finished his shift for the day but opted to hitch a ride in a police van to a bus stop near their home.

“My dad had closed from duty and was heading home but he decided to enter the police van at the nearest bus stop to our house; we were staying at Ogun State then,” he shared, noting that this simple decision placed his father directly in the path of a fatal highway robbery.

The incident turned deadly when the police vehicle encountered a severe traffic gridlock caused by men dressed in military camouflage who were conducting an illegal checkpoint to rob commuters. Unaware that the uniformed men were actually criminals, Carter Efe’s father and his colleagues stepped out of their van to investigate the cause of the delay. “Immediately the robbers spotted them in police uniform, they opened fire on them. My dad is on YouTube; I saw my dad’s lifeless body on the ground with a police uniform,” the streamer revealed, describing the trauma of seeing the footage of his father’s death broadcast on television and preserved online.

Despite the deep psychological scars left by the event, Carter Efe emphasized that these experiences have instilled in him a relentless drive to succeed. He explained that his background has made him resilient to the pressures of his current career, stating that no amount of hardship can deter him from his goals. “I am no stranger to pain. I have gone through a lot of pains. So, there is no pain that will make me stop my grind,” he affirmed, signaling that his father’s sacrifice serves as a somber motivation for his ongoing hustle in the entertainment industry.
