Despite fulfilling her bail requirements, detained Nollywood actress and singer Angela Okorie has remained in Suleja prison detention.
Angela was granted N5 million bail by the Federal High Court in Abuja on Friday. The surety must be a level 13 federal official.
Actor Stanley Ontop, Randy Peter, Mama Pee, Omoyele Sowore, and other activists reportedly intervened to gain her release.
The actress is still detained even after fulfilling her bail requirements.
On social media, the development caused criticism.
But in a post on his Instagram account, actor Stanley Ontop revealed the reason the actress is still detained: her bail condition was processed late on Friday.
In his words,
“Angela Okorie Bail application has been processed, but after we had finished the processing, time has gone. So she will be out from Suleja prison by Monday. We have met all her bail conditions, we await Monday for her release.”
