Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has finally addressed the heavy criticism he has faced for not posting photos of his children with his estranged wife, May Edochie. Speaking on the KAA Truth podcast with Kel Armstrong Amobi on Friday, February 6, 2026, Yul revealed that his silence on social media doesn’t mean he has abandoned his kids.
The actor explained that there is actually a legal reason behind his decision. Because of the ongoing and highly publicized divorce case with May, a court order is currently in place that restrains him from posting pictures of their children for their own safety and privacy. “They said no more posting of them,” Yul shared, adding that he is simply following the law, not acting out of a lack of love.
To prove he is still a present father, Yul shared a recent update about his second son, who is 17 and just started university. He revealed that he was in touch with his son throughout his matriculation process and even sent him pocket money just days ago—sent through May’s bank account to ensure there is a clear financial record.
Yul laughed off the rumors that he is estranged from his children, stating, “If my children never come to you and complain, it’s funny… I’m in contact with my children.”
He noted that while he frequently shares photos of his children with his second wife, Judy Austin, his relationship with his older kids remains private due to the sensitive nature of the divorce proceedings.
