President Tinubu Condemns Gunmen Attacks in Plateau and Kaduna

by admin

President Bola Tinubu condemns the “barbaric and cowardly” attacks carried out by gunmen in Plateau and Kaduna States in response to the most recent wave of insecurity in North Central Nigeria.

On Tuesday, March 31, 2026, the presidency released a formal statement in which it expressed profound sorrow over the coordinated attacks that struck Kahir village in the Kagarko Local Government Area of Kaduna State and the Angwan Rukuba region in Jos, Plateau State. President Tinubu called the criminals’s plan as a desperate attempt to undermine the “Renewed Hope” plan for national security and an insult to the country’s common peace.

Assuring the impacted communities that the government will “bring perpetrators to justice” as soon as possible, the president has given direct orders to the leaders of Nigeria’s security agencies.

He ordered an immediate expansion of “global level” monitoring and kinetic actions in the troubled areas, emphasizing that the age of “negative status” surrounding rural safety must end.

The President declared, “These acts of ultimate wicked and mindless destruction of lives and property will not go unpunished,” reaffirming the administration’s resolve to defend all Nigerian citizens, irrespective of their geographical location or religious beliefs.
