Human rights activist and former presidential candidate Omoyele Sowore received a stern warning from social media critic VeryDarkMan, which has caused the current legal battle amongst netizens.
The critic threatened to file a criminal case that may result in imprisonment if Sowore dared to use his image or persona without express permission in a widely shared video that was uploaded to his Instagram account on Thursday, April 2, 2026.
This escalation comes only twenty-four hours after cryptocurrency billionaire Blord was placed under high-profile custody.
The conflict arises from the two personalities’ poor relationship, as VeryDarkMan accuses the activist of having long-standing personal biases. He dared Sowore to test the might of his legal team by challenging him to repeat the illegal promotional strategies that resulted in Blord’s current detention at the Kuje Correctional Center.
VDM stressed that there would be instant legal action if his image were used on billboards or in marketing materials without his consent. The business has been rocked by this “Fastest Finger” approach to legal defense, which indicates that the days of exploiting celebrity photos for “innovative strategy” without permission are over.
