The move followed a series of leaked voice notes and social media posts by a UK-based nurse, Adanma Waller, who claimed that actress Ekene Umenwa had alleged Okoro was living with HIV.
In a high-tension video shared on her Instagram page on Friday, February 20, 2026, Okoro expressed deep hurt over the rumor, noting that the heavy mouth gossip had caused her mother to break down in tears. “Ekene Umenwa, you add me for your list? Seeing my name there as somebody wey dem talk say she carries HIV sickness for body… my mother is crying right now,” she stated while demanding a public explanation from her colleague.
