Ossai Ovie, a top media aide to the Delta State Governor, expresses dhis disappointment in how Nigerians dressed for the 68th Grammy Awards. In a post on his social media page, he complained that our stars failed to show off Nigerian culture on the world stage.
He feels that instead of wearing clothes that represent who we are, they chose to copy foreign styles that don’t fit our values.
He was particularly upset with Davido’s wife, Chioma Adeleke, calling her outfit inappropriate. He didn’t hold back his words, saying, “I am disappointed in Chioma Davido’s dressing. She shouldn’t have been half-naked to Grammy.”
Ovie argued that it is very important for our people to represent Nigeria well at global events rather than wearing revealing Western clothes. He also blamed Davido for letting his wife dress that way, stating, “I am disappointed in Davido for allowing her to dress this way. I am really disappointed.”
