Super Eagles star Ademola Lookman has officially joined the Spanish club Atlético Madrid from Atalanta. The 28-year-old forward signed a four-year contract that will keep him with the team until June 2030.
According to the club’s website, Lookman has already finished his medical tests and met with the club’s bosses to sign the paperwork. The team is excited to have him, simply saying, “Welcome, Lookman!”
Lookman is moving to Spain after a fantastic time in Italy, where he became one of the most dangerous strikers in Europe. His biggest moment was during the Europa League final, where he scored three goals to help Atalanta win the trophy.
Before going to Italy, he played for several big clubs in England and Germany, like Everton, Leicester City, and RB Leipzig. Although he was born in London and played for England’s junior teams, he chose to play for Nigeria in 2022. Since then, he has become a key player for the Super Eagles, playing 41 matches and scoring 11 goals.
