Nollywood actress and producer Georgina Ibeh has expressed immense relief and gratitude after successfully recovering her YouTube channel, Georgina Ibeh TV, following a distressing hacking incident. In a video shared with her 1.5 million Instagram followers on Thursday, February 19, 2026, the actress detailed how she received a notification from YouTube in the early hours of February 9, while she was “nursing my baby to sleep.”
The email informed her that her channel, which boasts over 770,000 subscribers, had been removed for violating platform policies—a shock that led her to realize an unauthorized party had gained access to her account.
The actress recounted that the hackers had rebranded her channel as Fox Live and were using the platform to broadcast unauthorized political content. Despite the initial urge to panic, Ibeh credited a lesson she learned three years ago about staying calm in chaotic situations for helping her navigate the crisis prayerfully. “I just told God to help me because I didn’t know what to say,” she said, noting that she felt a spiritual nudge to keep checking the channel even after it appeared to have vanished. To her surprise, the channel eventually reappeared under the control of the scammers before her management team successfully intervened.
The recovery was finalized on Wednesday, February 18, after her YouTube manager confirmed that the platform had authorized the return of the account to its rightful owner. Ibeh, who recently celebrated the birth of her first child in August 2025, described the restoration as a testimony and urged her fans to join her in celebration. “My YouTube manager said we’ve gotten our channel… I got an email saying my channel has been recovered. Just say congratulations,” she wrote in her caption.
